Sarah Newton, Your Gen-Y Guide is here to demystify the world of the next generation. Having spent the last 14 years immersed in the culture of the millennials, Sarah helps parents, schools and companies to connect, engage and motivate young people in a way that gets long lasting results. A recognised thought leader in this field, Sarah is passionate about presenting her thinking and ideas in practical and useful ways that allow people to guide the behaviour of the next generation without crushing their spirits.

Regularly appearing in the media, Sarah is best known for her 8-part TV series, 'My Teen's a nightmare – I'm moving out’. She's been seen by 1 in 4 UK television viewers. Sarah’s approach is authentic, loving, firm, and compassionate - she is not looking to place blame or to shame anyone into change. Her work with clients is to find solutions that will last beyond the immediate situation and help guide young people to grow into conscientious citizens of the world. She incorporates equal parts of sensitivity, wonder, common sense, and humour to touch people's lives.

Her first book, "Help! My Teenager is an Alien - the everyday situation guide for parents" was launched in March 2007 and rarely drops out of the top ten parenting teenager books. This book has now been translated into Polish and Chinese, so the alien has truly landed!.

She is a dichotomy really; her first job was at Disney World in Florida and her last as a police officer in London. That sums her up; one side a fun adventurer and the other a serious voice with an overwhelming message about the social responsibility we all have to the next generation. She stands by the words of Pliny the Elder; “What we do to our children, they will do to society.” She believes in workable, everyday solutions, not concepts and ideas that just don’t relate to real life.

Whilst she has a natural flair and pragmatic approach to resolving issues Sarah has been diligent in developing her professional skills. She has been professionally trained through Coach U, Comprehensive Coaching U and was the first U.K. graduate of the Academy of Family Coach Training.

Sarah understands that life is to be lived to its fullest and her approach to life is, “Chocolate cake, eat it or rub it on your hips, because that is where it is going, Honey!” This approach allows her clients to lighten up, enjoy their teenagers and make massive changes.

In her spare time she lives the life of a 1950’s diva with car, hubby and a whole lot of handbags to prove it.
